Selling a Condo

Featured Replies

My ex wife and I own a condo . which is in both names.

We are both Farang and now living outside Thailand.

How can I sell the condo without her being at the Land Office and signing.

If my ex signs a Stat Dec and I get it authorised at the embassy , would that work?

It is unusual for a condo to be jointly owned by 2 foreigners

However I suspect that  if 2 sets of signatures are required then you will both have to appoint seperate Power of Attorney arrangements.

(You have not stated where you will be at the signing session)

Others can advise -but I think that  the only monies required at the Land Office  will be those to cover transfer fees

A good lawyer is your next and neccessary step.

Thankyou for your advise.

I can make arrangements to go to the land office to sign.

I assume then that Power of Attorney covering my ex would be acceptable by the Land Office?

P. O. A obtained from Embassy in country of residence, some land offices specify an expirey of 30 days so get just prior to doing tje transfer. Signed copies of her pp also

Been there, done that. Different land offices reaction to POA. You don't need lawyer. Contact the land office and ask them what they need.
