Osteopath / holistic physio? for shoulder tendonitis

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks,

got a shoulder tendonitis for 2 months, a physiotherapist in Chiang Mai Ram hospital prescribed ultrasound sessions, but after a couple of weeks no progress with this treatment. I'm wondering if you know about any good osteopaths or more holistic physiotherapists that deal with that sort of things with manual therapy (not cortisol shots or surgery).

Any tips much appreciated!

Try doing the 'wall walk' with your extended arm (search online for visuals) - My DO (osteopathic)

Doctor recommended for my shoulder issues.

Thanks Steven! Was looking for good stretching exercise!
My DO said to do the stretch 3x per day. I found 15-30 seconds per stretch adequate.

For anyone interested in this topic - I went to visit Noy today - seemed super knowledgable and professional, much better than 2 other physios I visited in CM before.

She diagnosed the problem, educated me about the real cause (not just the symptoms) and made sure I understand what I need to do next, what is the stretching and strengthening for, etc. Love the fact that she focuses on the why, not only the how, which was the issue with previous physios - I was doing the exercise blindly, now I know what it's for.

Google Maps link to her office

Edit: Yup, her English is more than sufficient- no communication problems at all

I have watched Khun Noy work with victims of Heart Attack, Stroke, Road Traffic  accidents  and folk like me just suffering withe the effects of age.

Moe than one has said Noy saved their life or gave them back their life following the above.

The "wall walk" is the way to go, it's a very reliable technique.

For physio. perhaps try khun Took at Rajavej Hospital.
