Double Entry Non-Immigrant O Visa

Featured Replies

Good day,

I have been advised that as I am married to a Thai national I can get a Non-Immigrant O visa that will allow me to stay in Thailand for a period of 90 days each entry, and that that I would only have to leave the country for one day and return. Please advise if this is so.

Is it possible that either of these entries could be extended, for a fee, for any further length of time?

Thank you and regards.

What is ur nationality pls?

Thanks for the quick response. I am British

A two entry non-o visa is not issued now. Only single and multiple entry visa have been issued for a long time now.

The multiple entry non-o visa allows unlimited 90 day entries for 1 year from the date of issue.

You can extend the 90 day entry for 60 days to visit your wife at a immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

You can also apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income.

Yes it does. But you may have a problem getting a multiple entry non-o visa in India.

For the 60 day and one year extension is is the same requirements.

Thanks for your replies Ubonjoe and Master Jairam.

I contacted the embassy again to clarify this matter. They say "This information is new to them, they only issue multiple visas to tourists. For Non-immigrant visa they can/do issue double entry and do not issue multiple unless instruction received from Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thailand.

I do not know if the fact that this is the Royal Thai Embassy, Pretoria, South Africa makes any difference.

That seems to be odd information you got since their website does not mention a 2 entry non-o visa. Only single and multiple entry visa.

VALIDITY OF A VISA:
Single-entry and multiple-entry visas are valid for three months and multiple- entry visas for one year respectively.

Edit: Same on the MFA website: http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/4908/15398-Issuance-of-Visa.html

They stopped issuing 2 entry non immigrant visas when the multiple entry visa became available.
