The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) today (Jan 19) revealed the assets of new  cabinet ministers of Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha government showing Deputy Transport Minister Pailin Chuchottaworn being the richest among the new ministers.

Gen Prayut and his 18 ministers in the fifth cabinet reshuffle took office on Nov 30 after taking their oaths of allegiance before His Majesty the King.

The 10 ministers who are the new comers in the cabinet then declared their assets to the NACC as required by law.

A fine photo shot of some the most corrupt military bozos you could imagine. And they think they are so smart and so important while their country goes down the gurgler at a rate of knots.

Excellent timing for such an announcement.

I wonder how many watches, rings, cars, houses etc. are being loaned to these fine gentlemen by the maids, drivers, uncles, local corpses etc.

"No question now what has happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again: but already it was impossible to say which was which."

How about declaring the assets of existing ministers, it's far more interesting

All whiter than white to carry on the milking .

I have a solution

do they still have to swear, on appointment, to the king that they will not be corrupt?

What counts as lese majeste?

Is being a member of the Royal Thai Police and using the position for personal benefit and against the public good lese majeste?

I have asked similar questions many times over the years and never received an answer. The only thing I can surmise about not using the LM law is that while some punishment is required for appearances sake, no one wants to set a precedent and expose all corrupt officials to the risk of even lengthier jail time. Kind of self-preservation thing, I guess.

 1 lady in the photo,

Wolves in sheep's clothing.

All I can think of is ice cream truck and then oppression.

Does anyone believe that... any... of these puppet show 'asset disclosures' are even close to being truthful?

Those uniforms sure are white..

Conmen that should be in jail

In Thailand if you want to be a millionaire, join the military or police. Path to riches open up to them with the less effort and the best part is they seldom been convicted; just a transfer to an inactive post.

Line up a bunch of politicians or wannabe"s anywhere in the world & the end result would be the same - corrupt!

Yet folks still choose to believe in the political 'system" not that we have a lot of choice as mere wage slaves for the ultra :shock1:wealthy!

Wonder if the tea lady on the end appears high on the list ?

And someone really imagine that they declare ALL their assets ? Even those hidden abroad ? :-)
