But a year ago, impeachment was imminent, and until recently, several posters on TV, maintained that line. What's changed? There has been a real weakening of that position among those who were crowing, right down to, impeachment is difficult, and he may not be impeached.

I am shocked and saddened to hear you flat out deny the Trump collusion conspiracy that you have been making hundreds(thousands?) of posts about since the election. Yesterday I spent 20 minutes and prepared a lengthy post containing several quotes from your historic posts - and a few other posters also - proving that on this very forum the pervasive attitude was 1)a certainty that Trump colluded with Russia to swing the election, and 2)that Trump was on the cusp on being impeached so there is no way he will be in office to finish his first term. I deleted the post seeing as it could be classed as stalking or trolling, but anybody can find these posts plastered all over any antiTrump thread of which there are numerous.

 It is unacceptable for posters to have a 180degree swing of opinion overnight and to deny their previous overbearing stances ever existed when the evidence is right here for all to see. We all know what happened. Trump and Russia are in the depths of a cold war which makes the Trump being too chummy and colluding with Russia conspiracy a complete nonsense. Which it is/was. Please, some honesty would be appreciated.

 

Not going to discuss your off topic business corruption canard. Others were FAR worse but still running around free, even running in recent presidential elections. The topic here is Trump, and his being able to finish his first term.

You're misinformed. Judges can't remove U.S. presidents. The only way is by impeachment in the house and conviction in the senate. Those are elected representatives of the people.

Fun fact--Mussolini also promised to "drain the swamp", both literally and figuratively in his case, and also pointed out reporters in his rallies so his mob could harass them. 

 

Apparently Trump was a fan, he tweeted a famous Mussolini quote early in his campaign--“It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep.”   I'm not sure how Trump would know this, he's spent his entire life dodging threatening situations.  Of course he is getting close to 100 years old...

And that doesn't take into account the higher taxes for the middle class that are coming in a few years.  One good thing about the plan though, when they go to fix it they'll only have to focus on the upper end.

I wish I could believe that.  However first we will need a new Congress not in the pockets of lobbyists, and for that new Congress we will need serious campaign finance reform.
