6 mins of video on a 16 gig card from camera. Tried all the YT and google stuff, it's either pay which it's not that important for, or free stuff which does not work. I did not put anything else on the card after. Some of the pay stuff does find it, I tried free one Recuva but that could not see it. 

Doesn't Recuva have an advanced detection mode that needs to be selected?

I've used photorec on Linux to great success. They also have a Windows version. Note that it will want to dump the files on a separate drive to keep the integrity of as many of the original files as possible.

I used PhotoRec on Windows a couple of times and it always recovered the data (which could be recovered). Make sure you read the manual before you start.
