Best public hospital in Phuket ?

By "public hospital", I assume the OP is referring to government hospitals. This would include Patong, Thalang, Phuket and Vachira hospitals.

Mission Hospital is a private hospital, although a step down in terms of pricing and amenities from the BDMS-operated hospitals.

Yes, but strangely enough Mission is an option for the social security hospitals.

From my experience(s) I would give Patong hospital a miss.........might just trust them to remove a splinter from my hand if I was desperate!

That 8,500 baht package deal at BH is a great deal. First class all the way.

Have you checked the International Hospital. These days the same management as BP but I find IH just a bit cheaper.

Are you sure it is the same management? I know it is the same ownership, but afaik the management as different, as is their pricing.

Semantics.

Siriroj is owned by the BDMS company and managed by their board,

In -hospital management is separate from BHP.

The board would make pricing decisions, probably want to keep it as a slightly cheaper alternative to the flagship BHP.

Mission hospital is the fastest and cheapest solution of all hospitals for any kind of blood checks. I do regularily my checks there. In and out under 10 minutes with no waiting time and price about 70% cheaper then BPH.

Do you get the results in that 10 minutes?

BHP processes most tests in less than an hour and the doctors can then decide on any action required while you're still there.

I usually have a coffee while waiting. No need to go back later.

Nope. Results i pick up 2-3 days later. 5-10 minutes i need for walk inside, go directly to laboratory, let them take my blood and pay at the cashier, back to the car.

I only do regular blood checks there for which i need no doctor.

If need a doctor i also always go to BHP.

Yes, for normal checkups that's all you need.

You could even go to a pathology clinic.

I had a complete check up (blood, urine, ECG, BP, chest xray plus weight, height and waist measurement check.) at Vachira 2 days ago (Monday). I was expecting a long boring day but was pleasantly surprised to find that the check up department has been relocated to the new wing with everything in the one place. All modern equipment and good English spoken. In and out within 2 hours. Total cost 4100 baht.
