Can you still do 2x in/Out jumps in Mae Sai per year?

Featured Replies

I probably only have another 2 tourist visas to go before I’ll need a new passport...

...so I was wondering if you can still get your 2x yearly VOAs in Mae Sai?

cheers

I doubt if you qualify for a 15 day VOA that requires paying a 2000 fee.

You can get two 30 day visa exempt entries at land border crossings per calendar year.

You can do them a Mai Sai.

Thanks, yeah I meant 30 day visa exempts which you can extend for an extra 30 Days, to make 60 Days in total.

Just to make sure ...

Your initial post seems to imply that there is a motive to use visa exempt entries that would not exist if you were not planning to get a new passport. If you think you could get two visa exempt entries by land on the old passport, and still be able to get two more by land on the new passport, that is not the case. I recommend you keep at least one visa exempt by land in reserve in case you need it in an emergency.

It I misunderstood what you were implying, I apologize.

Cheers, but it’s just really to get an extra 4 months on old passport (2 visa exempts + renewals) before I need a new one.

By the time I get a new passport I’ll be able to use 2 next year.
