you can pay in either currency, although in real terms you're way better off paying in USD. expect to pay around $30-35 depending on where you're from. at the Friendship Bridge (Nong Khai), there's a list of countries and there respective dollar cost for the VOA posted on the window of the booth that hands out the VOA application forms.
