A guy told me that he received a multiple re-entry stamp for a single entry tourist visa. He showed me the stamp and it looks real.

Is this possible?

I've never heard of this and only thought it was possible to get a re-entry for a non-imm visa or visa extension.

A re-entry permit can be obtained for any permit to stay.

Whether you would want a single or multiple re-entry permit would be your choice.

No problem to get one for the 60 day entry from a tourist visa or the 30 day extension of it.

Thanks Joe.

Why would someone pay 3800 baht for a multiple re-entry permit for a 60 day entry, really going abroad four times during this time?

Single re-entry permit is 1000 baht....

Lot's of reasons, maybe they are doing a few days work in another country multiple times over those 60 days or maybe they have friends or relations in other country's who they want to spend time with, maybe a weekend every 2 weeks

Maybe they have read about the issues at the Airports regarding people being questioned or denied for using to many Visa Exempts
