Hal65
In the past Big C has had 2 types of green pumpkin: one with a rough exterior for about 13-18 / kg depending on the day. And also the japanese kobacha pumpkin for I think 49 / kg, a sweeter variety. Now there are not 1 but 2 more varieties, both small and orange: This one is 22/kg. I tried it out, the whole pumpkin was just 670g. I normally eat pumpkin with skin (blended together) and the taste was quite good. These ones are even smaller, maybe 300g. I think priced at 30 / kg. Haven't tried them yet. ----------------- Anyone know the calorie counts of these orange ones? The japanese kobachas are up there in caloreis (60-80 per 100g). Most pumpkins apparenly are in the 20-35 per 100g range. Pumpkin in general is very low calorie. Combined with its cheapness and nutrients, quite an amazing food. I eat about 1kg of it a day.
