HLover Posted February 21, 2018 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Occasionally wondered why so many bars for sale at Rhompo Market (opposite Soi 7, Jomtien 2nd Road) and although the current land leasee may tell buyers different; all land/lease the bars sit on are due to expire next year. So, many bargains to be had for the aspiring bar owner to have a very quick go at making a quick profit on the investment.? New sign erection seen today to inform the otherwise uninformed masses. I assume by the notice that it maybe likely that Mr Srikram will not get his lease renewed next year, probably because if they (the land owners) knew of his intended use of the land when he first leased it they would not have leased it to him... Just two days ago, a Thai lady bar owner asked him how long he had the land lease for and ever-honest Somchai said 'No worry, many years'. The next day the blue sign was posted. A lot of venders and employees when all added up. The fruit and veg stands are one of the main reasons I liked living in that neighbourhood.
