You know you live in a Thai village because the noise never stops.  The music from whatever celebration is played loud and late, when it stops the dogs take over competing with their neighbours, at 3.30am the chickens start. About 4am the ice wagon with the faulty silencer delivers to the shop next door, this kicks the dogs off again.

Two hour's sleep a night is a luxury, I usually crash  about 10am to sleep during the relative quiet of the day.

This move was not the best idea, maybe.

I can of got use to thenoise into the village I was living to near Buriram the people where very nice and friendly and like it is in a village working routine it all start at 0400 am the chickens going wild and than the Hibacjhi lit up and they strt to cook rice and other food than going to the field to work.

It is a lot better than the life we have in North America where we run like chicken with their head cut off.

I would give anything to sleep unbroken 10pm to 4am.  I would get by on that.  I agree, my Thai neighbours are lovely, just used to the din.

You know you live with a Thai lady when -

-When you first lived with her and you spent most of your time at your mates bar  while she visited her Mum at the villiage and she  comes back and looks around the house and  its really clean and she  squints  and exclaims , "So you not saleep here , you take the room go  in Patong HUH ??"

 

-She comes back from the villiage and you have  hurriedly cleaned up , and she exclaims , "Oh ! Werry calean , but not imnuff ,  you hab GIK clean for you ,  HUH ?"

 

-She comes back from the villiage and you now have learnt to leave a pigsty , and she looks momentarily happy until she searches the floor carefully  and  finds a 4" long  black hair and exclaims , "This not my hair ! My hair many more long......HUH  ? !"

-You say , "F*** this , I'll drive you to the villiage this time !"  , and shes all happy until you get an hour out of the villiage and youre lost and you wake her and say ," I dont know which way to go now " , and she says , "Im not know ! Im just saleep in the minibus when Im go baan !"

 

-When she calls from her first solo scoot to the Passport Office and stops and phones  you on the way back and says , "Where are I am ??

- When shes built like a 20 year old and tells me shes an,  'own ladee' and says shes a year older than she actually is ! ( What other nationality would do that ?)
