Citizen id number

Ok so I have been told that I can register onto the Thai immigration website  so I no longer have to report in person at the local office to do things like reporting within 24hrs of returning into the country (What the hotels do on our behalf) and perhaps the 90 day report although I think this is done elsewhere. Please don't shoot me down as I have never tried it as my local office is just 2 mins away on bike. 

The reason for asking about the "Citizen id number" is due to the local officer telling me 2 times now that I should use the website and not come to the office. Believe me I am happy to do that but when I try and register on their website, it asks me for the citizen id number and if I attempt 3 times, it blocks me. I have tried various numbers and combinations of numbers and they don't work. The local officer has shown me a number on my reporting slip in the front of my passport but it is nothing like 13 digits long. He has reset it for me twice on his system. Friends have told me its something to do with a work permit number but if anybody can steer me correct I would appreciate it.

Which immigration office. As far as I know only Surat Thani/Samui immigration has a special website for doing the reports.

The national website requires you to be registered to do it.

I had a feeling you might be the one able to answer my enquiry. Sorry I should have mentioned I live at Phuket and it was the Patong office.

Did they tell you to use this site? https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/  Immigration has to give you a registration number to use the site. There is a page on the site to submit the application for registration but I don't a space for the ID number on it. I have not read any reports of Phuket having their own website for them.

Patong is not that friendly from reports I have seen. It might be best to go to the main office.
