Work is under way to include wildlife under the protection of cruelty against animals law

The Livestock Department is speeding up the inclusion of wildlife into so that wild animals will be protected under this law.

 

The law is intended to protect animals which are kept as pet, raised for work or for shows against cruelty or mistreatment by their owners or caretakers, but the law does not cover wild animals.

 

The need to update the law to include wild animals under its protection has arisen after forest rangers decided to lodge a charge of cruelty against animals against Premchai Karnasuta’s hunting party, but eventually dropped the charge because wildlife is not covered by this law.

Maybe they could start with the abuse soi dogs typically receive from the locals?

Thailand excels in copying, so not copy other more advanced countries using their ideas

of what kind on wild animals need protection and who's not, no brainer really, the fewer

the species the more protection it's need,.. simple....

"An informed source said that the panel in charge of amending the law to include wildlife under the protection of the law has been trying to define the meaning of wildlife, but the whole process will be completed within March 9."

 

I'll tell you what wildlife is, animals that live in the wild. Hows that.

Not Dogs, Cats, working Elephants or Buffaloes.

 

Sorry to rain on your parade, but you need your committee fees to extend to March 9. Or the way it is worded looks like you will work on this and complete it on the day of March the 9th?

You dont seem to understand how Thailand works. 

 

The idea is not to create laws and prosecute offenders, the idea is to create as many unclear laws as possible so when someone in society decides someone below him must be punished they have a wide range of choices to pick from.

 

Nobody cares about what locals do, unless the village headman has beef with one of them after which he can misuse this law to pick out that one person.

Maybe they should cull the lot of them (the dogs) and make Thailand a safer place for everyone , both tourists and locals !

What i think when i read a story like this....

Load of crap. Someones found a loop hole and trying to exploit it to protect a fat hiso italthai prick. This is just smoke and mirrors to avoid thai looking like they dont give a sht. They dont!

so hitherto, animals that weren’t owned by an entirety, were not animals at all.... holy crapola... but thai nong faithism in prayut 4.0 will address that, right?

another law to bend ,break and ignore..
