Despite of over six hours of questionings, school teacher Preecha Kraikruan remained firm on his earlier testimony given to the police that he was the real owner of the five winning first-prize lottery tickets.

The school teacher and the lottery vendor Mrs Rattanaporn Suphathiop, alias Jeh Babin, were separately questioned at the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) after both were escorted from their homes in Kanchanaburi to face charges.

They face charges of filing a false complaint with police, giving false information to officials and framing another person in a criminal case. After the questioning which began immediately after they arrived at the CSD headquarters at about 4.00pm and ended at about 10.00pm, both were escorted to the CSD detention cells for rest.

dunno, that other cases seem to be popping up is worrying.
Maybe the good teacher, who by the way must have a second occupation judging by the size of what appears to be his house, did not realise that he would be up against someone who would bite back.

Wonder how many Lottery tickets get lost every fortnight, so better get a stamp with your name and phone number to personalise your tickets the moment they are bought.

Interesting that people are condemning the  cops on this one.

Two local ones were suspended for trying to frame evidence in such a way as to BENEFIT the teacher. It seems  that in this case the local cops got caught out and the retired Lt might actually be in the right (rare as hens teeth I know but possible).

Nothing like 'trial by internet armchair' and some never miss a cop- bashing opportunity though.

My logic screams that K. Preecha is the innocent party here. However, relying on logic here is probably a mistake.

I mean, who in their right mind would bring accusations against an ex-police officer in a case like this knowing the push back he will receive if there was not truth in it? Possible financial gain aside, what lottery vendor would back him up knowing the same push back?

At least he has a source where the tickets were bought. Now he fights the system which is potentially backed by 30,000,000 baht.

Thai police police are filth.

I know plenty of good decent police officers and have many relatives in the force. So I find your remark disgusting and offensive. cussing the offensive and I'm reporting it to the moderators. I've also got a good mind to photocopy this page and give it to my friends in the police force. I'm sure they would not be amused and you can face serious consequences.

But I guess you are just another ugly ill educated piece of filth. God knows how you were allowed in this country

So you say you know plenty of decent police officers?

So when you have problems with other police do you call on your pals to get you off?

I Know lots of police in Thailand, all filth ?

That's a wide sweeping statement which I disagree with.

Like anywhere there are good and bad in all trades
Having said that when the shit hits the fan see how long your friendly copper is around.

In which case you'll be joining the number calling for automatic mugshots and electronic receipts at the point of purchase preventing any repeat.

Hopefully, the moderators will give you a warning for insulting the OP. Since when have you been the TV nark for the RTP?

Maybe, it should be you that your phrase, "God knows how you were allowed in this country", should be applied to!

Well now he has "outed himself" as prepared to "shop" forum members to the police if he doesn't like what they're saying, perhaps we should just ignore him from now on?

I believe he is what is known in criminal circles in the UK as a"snout"!
