Currently on retirement extension expires July 2018. Now going to be employed. What is the process, cancel retirement then travel to Laos for Non B, already been told need WP required first befor getting Non. B at Laos..WP3.

The problem you will have is getting a work permit application done with an extension based upon retirement. Most work permit offices will not accept them.

You don't need to cancel your extension before leaving the country unless you have a valid re-entry permit.

You could leave the country for a few days so the company could submit a WP3 work permit application. Then apply for the non-b visa when you get the WP3 receipt for the application

Or you could leave and get tourist visa so a WP1 work permit application could be done so a work permit application approval letter could be issued. Then go out for the non-b visa.
