-Get verify stamp from thailand embassy of ankara. DONE

In Thailand

Translate to THAI from ENGLISH ... DONE

GET certificated stanp from thai foreign affairs ministry DONE

it took 8 days to get thai foreign affairs to do correct .

I thought everything finished i have 2 pages of marriage paper with almost 8 stamps from 2 countries. AMphur should just register on computer right?

NO! They want 2 witnesses from thailand to sign  like we first marry!

We go 2 diffrent amphur in bangkok. one f them even said she need not only 2 witnesses but also has to send papers to ministry foreign affairs to check for legality!

What is more legal than 8 stamps including 2 major ministries from 2 countries?

Wife called 111 goverment number they also say we need witnesses . How can i find witnesesss i am not living in thailand:) wife friends family all in other cities.

if i need witness why this trouble of papers? Turkish embassy say they houldn't ask for witnesses they never hear before.

What do you guys think should i go pattaya where many farangs live and finish papers there? bangkok hate me.

All you need is two people - they can be anyone.  When we marry we often get someone in office doing the same thing to act as witness.  As for checking with MFA this is normal - even your permission to marry paper is checked before they will register the marriage.

i dont marry again. i got stamps from tons of places i just finish took the paper from foreign affairs and it has to go back.

where is the logic. i should just divorce and marry again here much much faster.

ok we have registered marriage today.

Nothing is as easy i read on this forum about banking and marriage registration.

I did go 3 amphurs only  "sai mai said" they can register today. We had to take aunt and uncle of wife to amphur with all the paperwork from foreign affairs.

Lady who make our papers constantly told aunt and uncle that if those papers are fake(why?????) they will be in big trouble witnessing and signing.

So if i find some semi friends to help us i think they wouldn't agree to sign.

It took total 3.5 hours to finish registering with multiple mistakes . she ask my name , my passport number i think more than 10 times. Every letter she checked 10 times.

finally she give me kor 22 i guess.

Aunt and uncle had to leave  work to help us. From what i read on this forums it should be easy as cake . no it isn't far from it.

Than house owner tabian bahn boss aunt want to register me on the house and they said NO!

I cant register  in thailand becuase i am not a retired FARANG! I said all farangs in internet say they register . He said rules just changed! Right now it is only for retired men:)

This is not some hotel adress or rental, it is family adress, my family and they don't register me:)

Turkish embassy say they have no idea what is going on.

10 days of paperwork . I want to go phitsanulok, wife mom very angry.

It used to be - and many old posts reflect this.  It used to be a one-day process to get married to a Thai.

I got married to a Thai last year.  I had never experienced blatant foreigner-hatred personally, until that time.  Many amphoes are run by people who do not want foreigners staying here, and seem to not approve of "mixed marriages" with foreigners.  It was like USA (my passport-country) circa 1930 with black/white marriages.

We hear of similar attitudes at Thai airport immigration and at formerly-friendly immigration offices, when applying for family-based extensions - so unfortunately not isolated to some amphurs.

We eventually were directed to an amphoe led by a person who thinks foreigners have a positive-influence on Thailand - said so before signing the paperwork - encouraged me to share my knowledge/experience to help Thailand.  I do not want to see some racist in a high-place "crack down" on this Amphoe, so will not say which one.

The point is, they are not "all bad" - many are good people - just as most average Thais are good people.  But there is a disease of hate among a few - some with power - and they don't care how many Thais (businesses, families, etc) get hurt, in the process of driving as many of us away as possible.
