Getting 30 days exemption and doing border visa run after the end of an education visa.

Featured Replies

My education visa in Thailand is about to end after 3 years studying. But I want to remain in Thailand to find job. I'm thinking of traveling to Laos or Vietnam and then return back to Thailand to get 30 days exempt. Later I would do visa run in Burmese or Cambodian border checkpoints.

Is it easy to obtain 30 day visa exempt and do border visa run after the end of an education visa ?

Could somebody share your experience if you tried this before ?

It shouldn’t be a problem, just expect to be questioned about what you are doing in Thailand.

One would assume it’s obvious what he was doing in Thailand given the ED visa, lol.

Barring an extensive history of visa exempts in your passport, you should be fine.

Do you mean that if a passport has a lot of visa exempt stamps, its holder would get in trouble with the immigration officers?
