Navy to play war games through May

SATTAHIP:--The Royal Thai Navy will spend most of the next two months playing war games.

 

Navy commander-in-chief Adm. Naris Pratumsuwan announced the March 12-May 3 military exercises at the Air and Coastal Defense Command in Sattahip.

 

The exercises, which at times will play out with the Royal Thai Army and Air Force, is an annual affair to integrate internal military drills to develop combat readiness by using its existing resources for the most efficiency of the Command, Combat Support Service and Education divisions.

 

The war games will include tests of military planning processes, using forces and tactical planning, and coordination with the Thailand Maritime Enforcement Coordination Center under normal conditions and low-level conflict situations.

Can't wait to see the jets taking off from the pride of the Thai navy. Aircraft carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet which these days seems to be permanently rusted to the wharf and is nothing more than a floating hulk used for Thai tourists.

P.S. No farang allowed......top security reasons. No joke!

Every possibility the submarines will suffer the same fate after a couple of years of neglect.
