From Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai in 21 days

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

in may i will do it. Make the trip from CM to CR taking the road of 1862 curves. I will do this clockwise because i think it would be a  little more safely

I was thinking to do this, relaxing, in about 21 days.

Stay 5 days in area CM, 2 days around Mae Sariang, 4 days Mae Hong Son, 2 days Pai, 3 days Fang And the rest around CR.

I did read about the nice views during the trip. And the main reaon for doing this is to go see alot of nice temples in the north. Found already info about at least 200 temples worth visiting.

For those who already did this trip or maybe living in those areas, can you give me some tips of things what you really need to have seen while being there.

Normaly i Always end a tour with, a week or so,  sea and beach but are there places here what will make me go there instead of flying to the south?

Thanks already for take some time to read this and help me out.

Regards,

Foexie

Take care, those roads are very dangerous, you

loaded with cabbage on wrong side of the road.

good luck.

WOW you are such a big help

Are you driving or riding a motorbike. After Mae Hong Song is Wat Tam Wua you can stay there for a donation it is on the 1095 across the road from the Chinese Village. Nice rooms there you will have to participate in meditation times.

Here is a little taste of the roads in the area - very good except for the area between Mae Sariang and Hod - large trucks weigh in heavy on the road there but it is not too bad actually - more trip reports to come - check out UDTHA SK videos on YouTube for trips in the area.

Sorry it is still the raw footage but you can see the area is beautiful and the roads are mostly in good condition.
