Hi, can anyone help with me?

I'm a Brit and i entered through Suvarnabhumi airport on 26/02/18 on a 30 day entry stamp. I now want to stay in Thailand for a further 5 months (end August)

I've been searching through my options on Thaivisa for obtaining a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa in a neighbouring country but there are many and some a bit confusing. I don't mind doing an overland if it's cheaper and really worth it.

Does anyone have their favourite routes/solutions they wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks for any help

You won’t get a METV in SEA.

You will need to use visa exempt entries and a SETV (single entry tourist visa) to cover the 5 months.

You can extend your current 30 days by 30 days at an immigrantion office for 1,900 baht.

Then you could go to Laos (Vientiane is the best option) and get a SETV. That will give you 60 days on entry that you can extend by 30 days at immigrantion (1,900 baht).

After that you could get another SETV, or just do a border hop (‘visa run’) at a land border. You exit and immediately re-enter for a new 30 day visa exempt entry. That too can be extended by 30 days if needed.

Note that land border (only) visa exempt entries are limited to two per calendar year, and visa exempt entries are best avoided whenever possible.

Thanks for the reply. Are you saying that a 30  day entry stamp can be extended for 30 days? I didn't think the was possible

Yes it can, and has been possible for a few years.

As I understand it, a land based birder entry is only good for 2 weeks.  You need to fly in for another 30 days.
