I challenge anyone on this thread to name one American who would be worse than Trump - for negotiation with Kim. Similarly, can they name one prominent American (not counting Alex Jones, or Fox people) who is more anti-American.  What other American denigrates half the politicians in DC while showering praise on Xi, Kim and Putin?

Dianne Feinstein?

  • Everything with this man is Theatre.   He simply can't be trusted to make informed decisions.   Kim will play him like a cheap fiddle.

  • These stupid democrats are such hypocrites, after screaming for the last six months about the need for diplomacy and dialog with NOKO.   "Before they get that kind of prize, we should insist

  • The US should talk with North Korea, along with South Korea, China, and Japan.  The negotiations should be conducted through knowledgeable diplomats (yeah, I know, many have left and Trump hasn't repl

Latest news us that 45 will kill the Iran nuclear deal in April. That should inspire confidence in KJU prior to dearmement negotiations. Lol.

You couldn't make it up if you tried.

The odds appear to be diminishing that this will even happen at all.

Preliminary discussions seem to be on:

Whether anything will come out of it involves a wee bit more than just Trump. Two problem sides to this. As for the Iran deal - better to wait and see how things pan out. I'm not entirely sure that Kim necessarily interprets it along the same lines of reasoning often offered, though. It's easy enough to knock Trump's way of negotiation involving security and international relations. Been there done that plenty of times myself. When taking stock of what actually was lost through such - and its mainly prestige and trust rather than anything concrete. It's not that I'm coming around to the Dark Side's point of view, just trying to keep an open mind to the possibility that a different stance may get some unexpected  results. Not all necessarily benign and certainly with a diplomatic price tag.

I hope it never happens.  I see three possible outcomes if Trump gets involved in negotiations with North Korea:

1.  He accomplishes nothing.

2.  He sells out our east Asia allies so he can claim that he arrived at a peace deal.

3.  He starts a war.

Unfortunately I think 2 and 3 are the most likely outcomes.
