I agree that one should not gloat, since there is nothing to gloat about in this disaster. a. Arday is suffereing (and I mean suffering) from a significant and sad mental health disorder. b. Therefore, as one who is suffering from a psychiatric disease, he should not be castigated, anymore than someone with a broken back should be ridiculed for not carrying his own weight. c. The real fault and culpability lies with Cambridge University, the policies there, and the administration and others who allowed this farce to begin in the first place, and to continue. d. Obviously, I would say, Arday was capable of nothing more than pathological pedagogy in his classroom, and in the academic articles he "wrote". e. A disaster for all, it is the fault of the university, and the people at the university, that hired him. There is no question. And, Arday, instead of getting mental health counselling and support, was welcomed to the university, and then welcomed to fail, as they must have known that he eventually would.
