Khon Kaen Immigration

Featured Replies

I will be moving to Khon Kaen next month after 10 years in Phuket.

I get a visa extension every year based on my marriage.

I have 2 questions-

1) Where is the Khon Kaen Immigration office located and what are their hours?

2) Are they generally nice and pleasant to deal with?

Thank you

Khon Kaen Immigration is located on the Police Academy campus - off Mittriphap road just past the University of Khon Kaen.

Their hours are 0830-1200 and 1300-1630 M-F.  I have found them easy to deal with and very helpful.

I have been using Khon Kaen office for 8 years now and I have never had a problem, always found them polite and helpful. I get there for them opening and normally in and out within 20 minutes, max 30, that is with visa extension renewal and multiple re entry visa.

Thank you both for your quick replies. Makes me feel more comfortable. Phuket IM can be a nightmare most of the time.

Just curious, about how many minute drive by car from Bangkok Hospital to Immigration? I will live in that area.

Thanks again

Hardly any problems since 2011.

Usually I was in/out in 30 min and less.

Then I had quite big crowds sometimes.

But now that new offices have opened in Chaiyaphum and elsewhere it looks relaxed again.

Last visit was around Christmas for 90 day report.

Arrived about 9:30h and had to wait a minute until one of the officers at the empty desks put his smartphone aside

Will probably go there on Thursday and hope for the same.

Formerly it was possible to turn right coming from the south on Mittraphap (HW #2).

After road works you now need to use a near U-turn.

Coming from the north is easy, just change to the frontage rd. before it goes uphill.

Entrance just after a pedestrian bridge.

Don't be shocked if the parking lot is full with 100+ cars.

It then is another police training/meeting on the premises.

Around ten minutes drive

That immigration centre is so good and so upto date I used to travel there just for information. 86km from where I used to live. One of a few reasons we moved to KK.
