My friend from Europe is currently on an extension of stay based on seeing his children. This is due to expire in about 3 weeks however this year he unfortunately dosnt meet the financial requirements. He gas just started work with a WP but salary cant be used as he hasnt paid a full month of tax or SSO. He has approached agents that are willing to assist but the fees are unrealistic. His last Multi Non O visa was 2012 from Penang with yearly extensions since 2013 based on marriage, then visiting children after his divorce. He has a multi re entry permit also. Untl his finances are sufficient which will be late in the year, the idea is to go back to a Multi Non O visa. The question is, where is the best place to obtain a Multi Non O, what are the requirements and as he has a re entry permit will he need to wait until the last day of his extension to leave as of course this is still valid as having the re entry permit. 

He could apply for a 60 day extension to visit his children to give him time to meet the 40k baht income requirement for 2 to 3 months by showing tax payment receipts. Then apply for the one year extension.

Penang wants to see 400k baht in a bank or proof of 40k baht income to apply for a multiple entry non-o visa.

Thanks for the quick reply, that sounds good, maybe an issue, his current extension is in one province, he works in a different province and his kids stay with their Mother in another province. Where would he apply, and do the kids need to go to Immigration office.

He would apply for the extension where he is living.

At least one of the children would need to be with him when he applies for the 60 day extension.
