rooster59
72 alleged road racers arrested in Bangkok By The Nation Police arrested 72 young motorcyclists and pillion riders and seized 64 motorcycles suspected of being modified for road racing. The arrests were made at several road checkpoints on Bangkok streets late on Friday as part of the continued crackdown on road racing headed by deputy police chief Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpal. Surachet held a press conference in front of Seacon Square on Srinakharin Road early on Saturday to announce the arrests. Of the arrested bikers, nine tested positive for drug abuse, he added. Surachet said police also arrested a 16-year-old teen for using his Facebook page “Hu Taek [Deafening Roaring Sounds] Lat Krabang” to encourage road racing. The page has some 3,000 followers, Surachet said.
