SimonD
My SETV runs out on 7th April and I want to extend it by 60 Days based on marriage. It's been a long time since I last did any extension at Immi and I'm rusty on the details. What documents do I and my Thai wife need to take to our local IO? How much in advance of the 7th April can I do this and will I lose days if applying early? Thanks, Simon

This process varies by office, but in most cases, you need: Wife with you Signed copies of her housebook and id Current TM-30 (not in Bangkok, though) and/or Lease Agreement showing where you live Your passport and copies of it which they request + 1900 Baht fee If Jomtien, and you rent, this could be a nightmare to get absent "agent assistance," due to unobtainable landlord/condo-owner docs, but no reports I have read of this runaround anywhere else. 1 hour ago, SimonD said: How much in advance of the 7th April can I do this and will I lose days if applying early? On how soon, that depends on the office, but 7 days before your current stay expires should be ok everywhere. Never any penalty for applying early - your extension of stay will begin when your current permitted-stay ends. Always go early, so you have time to deal with any surprises. SimonD
Thanks Jack. My local office is Kap Choeng (Surin). I've got the rental contract and copies of our landlord's ID and Tabien Baan as we don't live at my wife's house. We filed a TM 30 earlier but the landlord has the copy of that. Is there any form to fill-in and are any PP-sized photos required? Simon

You will need a completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached. Download, complete and print 2 sided this Fillable TM7 form.pdf. You might want to get a copy of the TM30 receipt from your landlord to save having to do another one.

SimonD
Just running through the checklist of documents in advance of getting the extension tomorrow. Do I need to take copies/originals of our marriage documents from the Amphur? My wife's ID card and Tabien Baan are in my family name. Best to have your original marriage certificate with you in case they asked to see it.
