Thai News Agency mentioned foreign mafia involvement in the early morning assault of an Australian bar owner.

Chris, 45, the owner of Good Goat Bar in Soi Bua Khao was left bruised and bloodied after he was kicked and punched by two men - one Thai and one foreign after returning to his bar.

TNA TV reported the story and wrote that foreign mafia were involved in a headline on social media.

Chris had been drinking in Soi LK Metro before returning in the early hours to tell his staff there had been trouble at a Go Go bar.

Two men arrived on a motorbike and knocked him unconscious. They left saying it wasn't over.

Pictures showed the victim with blood spatter on his t-shirt being escorted to hospital.

Lk metro is still controlled by a certain type of foreigner, police cleared it out a few years ago after a friend of mine , who had a business in Lk metro had a fall out with another business owner. My friend (Australian) was shopping at Thepisit market and as he was on his way back to his car , was approached by a group of Thai guys who bundled him into the rear of a car . However as the car slowed and turned into Sukumvit he threw himself from the Car onto the road and escaped . A week later after further problems he flew back to Australia with his family and left his business.

Hope to see a photo of this particular 'mafia' type.

Safe bet he will look nothing like anyone on The Godfather.

Much too warm for suits and ties?

So with the polluted sea and the night life happenings everything is just fine and dandy.

Polluted sea had a BIG effect here. Clearly somebody had been out swimming. But there could be more--much more.

In all news threads reporting any negative incident, it's best to go ahead and get it ALL out there ASAP to avoid piecemeal repetitions that leave out most of the good stuff. Here ya go:

Jesus, a guy gets a <deleted> punch in the <deleted> face and drops <deleted>.
Thai news media  <deleted> jumps on it <deleted> with 'mafia' <deleted> suggestions.
They would have <deleted> shot him - if that would be the <deleted> case... <deleted>

Thais always like to exaggerate. Small-time hoodlums (now there's a word you don't see used much these days) are mafia, any model is a supermodel, any pop singer is a superstar. In their own mind they are. Better than acknowledging the reality of being a small fish in a small pond.

And it's not an exclusive Thai trait by any stretch.

All over the world it seems that something out of the ordinary is now ' surreal' and instead of simply saying yes people now feel the need to say ' absolutely '.

No idea what they will say when confronted with something absolutely surreal in the real sense.  Fall back on gobsmacked I suppose.
