hello to all thai visa forum members, this is my first post on this board so please be gentle with me. i have read through the faqs and cannot find the answer to my question, am confused with the visa rules; here is our situation

We (my husband and I) are english with english passports

We are based in Cambodia, I have a multi entry busness visa (for cambodia) he just has the 30 day stamp on arrival (For cambodia) he has entered Thailand 3 times in the last 3 months but has stayed 5 days, 10 days, 2 days ie 17 days in total. Each time using the 30 day stamp into thailand, will he have to stay out of thailand for 90 days before he can re enter? Is it the ammount of days you stay in thailand or the ammount of entrys

I have just stayed 5 days in thailand

Is it possible to get a multi entry visa for thailand in Phnom penn

Thank you for your patience

Dear miss,so far as I know you will not have any problem to go into thailand or whatsoever, you are not staying here ,but take a visarun into here,i do not see any problems. But there are some wizzpeople who can tell you more about this. Also a multiple entry you cannot get in Camb, and for what I read on many postings that they even say that the visa's they give out are only for cambodians.I have my thoughts about that, but can't change that.Although to be very sure ,cause you are there allready,go to the embassey and ask your worrything yourself, they will help you out, then you are really sure....goodluck

Sorry, but they count on days not on entry's.Only when people stay this full amount or close to the 30 days,

then they will tell you to stay out for 90 days,it does not apply for you, don't worrie, you will be fine.

The rules changed in October. He is allowed to enter Thailand on Visa free stamps for upto 90 days in any 180 day period. They count days not stamps. He is unlikely to get a multiple entry visa in Cambodia but should he ever return to UK he could get a multi entry visa there. If he should reach the 90 day limit and still needs to enter Thailand he could get a single entry tourist visa in Cambodia which would allow him 60 days in Thailand but once he leaves the visa is finished unless he gets a re entry permit from Thai immigration before he leaves.

I just got 30 days tourist visa in KL. I've stayed in Thailand for 2,5 years. October -> January = 4 months. I think u can get visas every 2 months in embassies around Thailand and u can stay as long u pay 2000THB every month.

I don't think this post makes any sense to anyone.

Catibiza, in your case the rules are very clear. 90 days in any 180 day period. You have no problem. I have a friend in Langkawi Malaysia who travels over to Thailand every week at least and has continued to do so since the new regs came in to force.

I suspect he is from a country allowed 30 days entry on a tourist visa and can extend stay for 30 days?

Thanks for all your help and info guys, it is all much clearer now,

Can I just say that this forum is much friendlier than the thorn tree thank you for not flaming me
