Opened with a small speech and taking a ton of pictures. When that was over it was already noon and time for lunch till 1. At 1 its too hot to work, so everybody took a nap till 4 after which the day was as good as over and many had to head back to avoid rush hour.

All together it was a great success. Many pictures were taken and lunch was good.

Yes. It  would appear that  the   current   fears  over  the  proliferate  rabies incidences has  limited  the saleable output  from such places.

Genuinely  concerned individuals  should  have  already  questioned   why  such  centres  have a  static  residential population.

Or  are  they happy  to believe   "natural  attrition"  accounts  for  that despite  the  very obvious numbers  of  stray/ feral  or  abandoned   dogs?

It  would be more  humane to  enact proper  elimination and  institute  compulsory registration of "owned "  dogs.

In doing so  would  curtail  the   new  current  industry  of  scams soliciting   money both locally and  offshore  from  deluded   do  gooders.

The obvious bonus would be the  decrease  in  roaming  dogs while in theory those registered would be fed or removed,  vaccinated at  home address. There  would  be a  decrease  in the  number  of  accidents involving  dogs especially   with motor cycles, a  decrease  in insurance  payouts, a decrease  in  hospital  expenses , a decrease  in the  recrimative   claims and  negotiations   between victims and  alleged  owners, effective  control and  possible  elimination  of  rabies  in domestic  situations....etc etc. The  remaining  dogs  would  be  at  benefit.

Right  now  the  authorities  have very   valid  reason to  enact legislation to achieve  such as the   above.

Rabies  is  a  fatal disease to  any that  contract  it.

Impounding  in  massive  numbers  happy dogs  it  does  not  make!
