Hello, my work permit will expire in less than 1 month but visa expires sooner. I want to go Penang and apply Non B single entry before extend work permit. Is there any rule about that? Thanks.

If you have an extension of stay issued by immigration they should accept your application with your current work permit validity. The work permit only has to be valid on the date you apply for the extension.

Same for the consulate in Penang.

Thank you for answer. I have single non b from Penang. I'm planning get 1 month extension from immigration and then go to Penang before work permit expires. As I understand as long as before work permit expire it won't be problem?

You can not get one month extension on a non-B visa. 

You can get 60 days if you are married or have Thai children. No 30 extension.

Penang might give you another single entry non-B, not guaranteed. 

For 1-year non-B you need to have 8 months left on your WP, and be director or own min 20% of the company.

Last time I got 7 days extension after 1 year immigration extension for leave country. Sorry I remember wrong.

Someone made a mistake, 30 days extension is only given on tourist visas and visa exempt entries.
