Last week I was in fashion island shopping Center , there was a dealer wants for 6 pcs steel knife set 12500 baht ! When I looking on Amazon steel knife sets 6 pcs coasts between 70€ and 100€!

Can someone explain the quality difference in steal , how I can see a real quality product is overpriced ?

Zwilling ja Henkels Brand where this Company come from ? This the only pic I have

Henckels is a German company.  Some knives are made in Germany.   The company maintains several brands, including Zwilling J.A. Henckels, J.A. Henckels International and BSF.   Henckels International is their lower-cost brand that is made elsewhere (China?).  They make knives in all price ranges.

 

The price of good kitchen knives varies with the type, style, the steel and the maker.  Some good Japanese chef's knives can fetch $400. each here in the USA.  That's 12,500 Baht for one, not including any import tax.  Good chefs will carry a case with their knives and no one else is allowed to use them.

If steal they should be free....


I find the higher Zebra line of stainless knives pretty good, and the price is great.
