SETV in Australia for Non-resident?

Featured Replies

Any chance to get a SETV in Oz?

I would like to apply, as a non-resident (with EU passport), for a Thailand METV/SETV in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, perhaps Hobart). Thailand visa history: 4 back-to-back SETVs and 1 visa exemption. How likely is it in my situation to be granted a METV/SETV in Australia?

You shouldn’t have a problem getting an SETV.

Not sure about the METV, but it’s rumoured as a possibility. The METV requires a bank statement with at least 8K AUD, but not sure if they’ll accept banks in other countries with the equivalent 8K AUD.

Sounds good; a nice trip to Oz and a SETV. Everything else would be a bonus.
