The health office of the City Administration clarified today (Tuesday) that there has not been a single case of rabies attack on humans in Bangkok this year, but six dogs were found to be infected with rabies during the same period.

In his letter of clarification sent to Thai PBS today, Mr Sunthorn Sunthornchart, deputy director of the health office said that the report in Thai PBS website saying that during January 1 and March 6 this year, there had been six human rabies cases two each in Bangkhen and Bangsue and one each in Chatuchak and Don Meuang was inaccurate and might cause public misunderstand.

The truth is that, during the period, six dogs were found to be infected with rabies –two each in Bangkhen and Bangsue and one each in Don Meuang and Chatuchak.
