Private House Sale Proceedure
So you are in the process of selling a house in Pattaya. Everyone agreed on a price, intention of purchase within 1 month drawn up and deposit given. On the day of the sale completion we go to the land office, the buyer gives us a cashiers cheque, we then sign the house land paper and register with the new owner. This is how I think it goes, is this correct please? Is receiving a cashier's cheque the same as receiving the money, or can they somehow cancel the cheque after the land office papers are signed? Any things I have to watch out for? Thanks. -

IP configuration problem: can't connect to wifi in room but it does connect in hotel lobby
Any chance OPs PC was purchased in USA? I ran into this exact issue once. I purchased a new laptop in US, brought it to Thailand. Tried to connect to my home Wi-Fi and couldn't though all my other devices were connected with no problem. Long story short, the US reserves several WiFi channels for government use and all WiFi devices sold in the US have these channels locked-out. Just coincidently, when set-up, my router had selected on of those channels which are not locked out in the rest of the world. Changed the WiFi channel and all was good. -

Where did you retire and why
this is a guarantee for sure after the OECD agreement and as govt coffers seem to be empty or close to that around the world today plus the changing weather. In the US many people are fleeing California and New York and have been doing so lately due to the high taxes in those states plus the high cost of housing. The folks are fleeing to Texas (no state tax) and Florida - retirement heaven I guess. to each their own choice. Not as easy as it used to be IMHO. -
