January 25, 200719 yr I want to take my 18 month old luk kreung daughter to Britain later this year for a holiday. Eventually I want to get my daughter a British passport but I know this entails a visit to the Embassy in Bangkok and could be a fairly long process. There might not be enough time when I go to Bangkok to get the UK passport therefore the visa option may be the best way. Her mother has had a UK visa in the past so we hope there won't be any problems. So, does anyone know where in Phuket we can go for this or do we need to go to the home Amphur?

January 26, 200719 yr So, does anyone know where in Phuket we can go for this or do we need to go to the home Amphur? A Thai passport takes about 3 days to get if you collect yourself (anywhere) As you live in Phuket you can go to Song Kla and apply for a passport and they will courier the passport back to you in less than a week. You have to visit a passport office to apply as they take the photo digitally there and then.
January 27, 200719 yr Two points. When the Ministry visited Phuket a few months ago, we had my son get his. He is also lukreung-Brit. Son was 6-7 months then. Anyway, 2 weeks later the passport came. Might want to check when they visit your area. The other point. You can go to the brit embassy website and download the c2 passport form. It is for you child. Simply follow instructions, and send the form in. I have not done mine, but it is available via post. Easy!!! http://www.britishembassy.gov.uk/servlet/F...d=1065714376627 No need to go to BKK.
