Ok. Who are you to be so condescending and dismissive? Their selection of Pope did no harm and provided comfort to many. If Catholics wish to behave in the ways you describe and hurt no one, it is their right. I would rather someone do their rosary than have a machete rampage through the streets of Manchester. -

JD Vance's papal audience
There is a character in "Rosemary's Baby" who is an older gentleman that says he has been to nearly every city in the world. Though it is never said, it is left to the audience to figure who he is supposed to be, or who's bidding he is doing. "Pleased to meet you, won't you guess my name?" (Hey, it's been 50+ years since I saw that!) I went through a lot of Catholicism when I was a kid. One thing I noticed is that people who convert to that religion as adults tend to really go off on it, two public characters that come to mind are Graham Greene and Malcolm Muggeridge. I don't sense much of that from JD, IMO conspicuous in its absence. -
