Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha today (Monday) warned ill-intent politicians to stop badmouthing on political issues in a way may cause public confusion if they want the election to proceed in accordance with the political roadmap.

“Today, I would like to say something about politics. I don’t want to criticize anyone in particular. But there are people talking on many things – some with good intention, others with ill intention. I would like to appeal…if everyone wants the election to proceed in accordance with the set roadmap, they should stop talking in a way which causes damage or confusion because, in the end, the responsibility rests with the government,” said the prime minister.

He maintained that the government did not just have the responsibility to stage the election, but also had to maintain peace and order.

"But we should also think how Thailand will be after the election? I would leave this question …and I hope it will be better than it is today,” said the prime minister.

Can't worse, could it?

Like a daddy telling his kids:  we're going to go on a picnic and everyone is required to behave in accordance with my dictates.  If anyone indicates deviation, I will call off the picnic.  My word is final!!!

Yes, it is tiresomely predictable. More thinly veiled threats of a delay in the (in any case bogus) election.

Again, I say: Thais - you are hearing and seeing all these lies, threats, freedom-grabs, day after day.

What are you going to do about it all? Wai and smile - and bend over for more??

Thailand we need to be innovative and to do that, dress the way I say and think only the way I want you to.

An election in the future in Thailand is like  finding the end of a rainbow. Not ever going to happen.

Obviously the start of a  new round of back-pedalling ...

Correct.  No free speech, no free press, no "bad" opinions, no real democracy.

Thai Nayom primaries :cheesy:

This could be funnier than the 2016 race to the white house.

Why does he think that every one must like a rigged election and love him like a daddy?

Aint nothing subtle about that message.

Get a grip, man, criticizing the opposition and saying what you would do better than them is what the run up to an election is all about.

One reason more for delay the election...

Why so pessimistic, is he not aware of the good news:

Thai students score less than half by average in ONET exam

With nothing but morons in the next generations, he and his Brass Brothers can stay in power for decades to come.

I'm not sure about that. Prayuth makes stupid people look clever. Here's a little Prayuth gem - among many - while he was promoting a new education policy: “Teachers assign difficult homework to students. The other day, I had a look at homework of a por neung student (first-year elementary school). I must say that I didn’t even know how to do it. Homework is too difficult for students.”

Exactly. Funny how some TV posters always complain against his native country calling it nanny country.
This is daddy country now, happy?

Bully!

The man is in danger of believing his own propaganda.

I do agree with many comments here about another delay but unfortunately the Junta have the guns and amo to do whatever they want.

More "reasons" to "delay" the "elections"....
