Video: Gold shop owner shows nagging wife what he thinks of her - shoots himself dead

A gold shop owner in Chonburi finally had enough of his wife.

She was nagging him about 200,000 baht that seemed to have gone missing from the shop's accounts.

So in full view of CCTV cameras he walked off, picked up a gun under the counter - and blew his own brains out.

Bowin, Chonburi police were quickly on the scene and found 52 year old Montree Thipdee, originally from Sakon Nakorn, lying in a pool of blood. Next to him was a 9mm gun.

He had been shot once to the right temple and there were no signs of a struggle, reported Daily News.

The cops were greeted by a shocked and tearful Ladawan Thipdee, his 57 year old wife.

She told them that they had opened the Tem Thong gold shop many years ago. She had confronted her husband about the money that was missing and a big argument broke out.

She didn't think he would kill himself, she said.

But CCTV gave police all the evidence they needed.

Yup, that showed her !!!

Must have been tempting for him to do her instead. I guess she got the message though.

RIP, what a silly waste of life

He didn't shoot the neg first for fear that she will continue to neg him

in the afterlife as well....

Must have been going on for a while to drive him to that. RIP.

It does however remind me of a news story when I was in Saudi. They reported that in Pakistan a married woman was having a serious and protracted affair with a man, so the husband wrote a note to her to say that he was going to teach her a lesson........He climber a tree, poured petrol over himself, and set it alight.........sure taught her too.

Well thats 1 way to stop the nagging.

He must have thought,i will show her, peace at last.

Everyone focusing on the "nagging" because its in the headline .

What about the missing money ?

I would have chosen the headline as :* Man kills himself over missing 200 000 Baht*

I do believe that the Wife had a right to "nag" about that

"Nagging" about missing money? Or trying to find out what (or who) he has spent the money on?

Maybe he thought it was easier to end it and leave his wife an unsupported widow than to take responsibility for what he did. Need to wait and see if a gik/hooker will come out of the woodwork in a few days.

Ask his mistress about the missing 200 000 Baht.

He obviously had enough of everything.

I have thought about it myself in just about every relationship I've ever had with a woman but I just couldn't give them the satisfaction.:cheesy:

Maybe you should have tried Viagra!

Very strange.

Usually they take the wife out first.

Probably spent 200k on gambling and could not tell the wife. He must have loved her .

revenge for nagging......mission accomplished

What was the message??

Maybe he was struggling to support his business, not having anyone the share the burden of responsibilities, wife and others on his back causing more stress and pressure, then like a boiler reaching maximum pressure point, something snaps and unable to take anymore.

I`ve had moments like that in my life, only most of us manage to battle through and stay afloat. Sad state of affairs, hope the man is at peace now.

The problem was that there was 200 000 Baht missing and he was unable to explain what happened to it

True. I was thinking more about being without a loving partner, but the money is probably more important to a Thai.

Do you think he lost face?? oh he just blow his off.

The message?

Well, let me think about that. Hmm! Could been something along the lines of:

"You miserable old shrew. I would rather be dead than listen to another minute of your incessant nagging and whining.

Or maybe, "So now do you understand that you are so evil, you can drive a man to suicide?

Or others to that general effect.

Can't wait to hear the will read, especially if he has left it all to a mistress.

Very sad. Tragic that life can get to to this.

I'm sure I'll get banned again for this but showing (not that you can really see but you know what happened) someone shooting themselves in the head is ok on this 'family friendly' site but using certain words common to the vernacular and found in most if not all modern English dictionaries is not allowed.

It's a sad world.

Serious?... you see that the issue was limited to a few baht?

I suspect that there was a bit more to it , like the shop had been remortgaged or something

yeah! but a stiff upper lip only goes so far...

I don't think my wife would allow me to shoot myself...I'd be too happy RIP.
