April 7, 20188 yr It has recently come to my attention that to work in the UK now you need to have a BRP (Biometric Residency Permit) or your indefinite remain to leave Visa needs to be in your current passport. (Seems to me another way to make a few hundred quid !!!) Does anybody know the process or can the confirm the process to get the Visa moved from an old Thai passport to a BRP ?? My current thoughts are that you apply through the NTL form , to which the UK Gov then give you an appointment where you get your fingerprints taken etc. If this is correct is it a post office near or wherever they want ?? as I did read somewhere that if you pay you can get the Post Office appointment venue changed Any guidance in the matter would be appreciated regards Richard

No. It's a way that all employers can check that people who are allowed to work can work and those who can't are not employed. The penalties are fierce. My wife's FLR included a BRP so I can't help you. No doubt somebody will come along who can. I think but I'm not 100% sure that your ILR will still be valid, even though it's in an old passport.
April 8, 20188 yr Author On filling in the form NTL - could you let me know what documentation you sent for 1. Document proving identity - was it just the passports 2.Evidence of continuous residence in the UK - surely this is highlighted by the stamps in the passport - or do I need to give more info like bank statements , council tax Bills etc Any assistance appreciated as I do not want to send to little to them regards

You need to check online for the closest to you and only a few POs can do the biometrics. During my wife;s FLR application she was sent a letter telling her to go and get the biometrics done.

I too am having trouble as the checklist says the give evidence of continuous residence. I would appreciate it if you could let me know if you were successful in your application and how you showed the continuous residence. kind regards
