Why are the US validating these people with official visits?

It stinks, doesn't it?

Well, we could all wish the world was full of democracies, but that is simply not the case.  Look at Germany pushing for a pipeline so they can get more natural gas from .... Russia, another thriving democracy? Meanwhile, the Brits are expelling their Russian diplomats.

Isolating Thailand, as you suggest, benefits who?  You think the junta would NOT "educate" the Thai people about the "corrupt Americans". Then when the government changes, you think it would be easy to uneducated the masses?

NO, the only "winner" with isolating Thailand would be China.  Far better for Trump to have Thailand as an ally for the coming trade war. Far better for Thailand as well as they just might benefit from such a war.

Happen it does, but on the other hand Prawit has to meet another unelected leader in Theresa May and the almighty fool Boris Johnson, so I would say, honours about even there

1. Who says it should it should have to benefit anyone? It is about NOT benfiting those who commit treason and repress their people.

2. Despite political gatherings being banned, it is somehow still OK to denounce the Americans outside their embassy, so your second point is as good as done anyway.

Whilst I appreciate that you may not like them, you can hardly claim that either Theresa May or Boris Johnson are unelected.
