US Acting Secretary of State offers best wishes for Thai people on Songkran

US Acting Secretary of State John J. Sullivan has offered his best wishes for the Thai people when they celebrate the Songkran festival, the Thai traditional New Year today.

 

In a statement released today by the US Department of State, he said:

 

“On behalf of the Government of the United States, I extend best wishes to the people of the Kingdom of Thailand as they celebrate Songkran and welcome a new year on April 13, 2018.

Seems most of Trump's administration is acting or vacant positions.

Surely with more to come this year.

The State Department might as well just send to all 194 nations a form letter: 

“On behalf of the Government of the United States, I extend best wishes to the people of the fill in name of country as they celebrate fill in name of event ."

Hahah beat me too it would have been some secretary filling out a standardised email. Wouldn't even have been digitally signed.
