you shouldn't need an agent and price is ridiculous, I got two bank accounts on Tourist visas and then one more on Elite (Tourist visa also) Bangkok Bank would normally make an account for you if you have someone Thai that has an account with BKK bank vouch for you. Was just a random friend that came with me and brought her bank book and ID. They will say they "can't do it" because they don't want to bother with it or don't know how to do it but normally with a bit of pressure they will. If I remember correctly they wanted 10k deposit which could be taken off the same day if you wanted but that might have been Kasikorn I was never on work permit or non-immigrant visas and I have 3 accounts, no agents nothing. -

Australian Aged Pension
I've read several posts where people think the 35 year rule is 35 years working. My understanding is that you have to be an Australian resident for 35 years between the ages of 16 and 67 to get the full pension and it has nothing to do with if you work or not. Like the poster you're responding to, I've been spending at least 7-9 months per year in Thailand since I retired in 2018. I kept my Unit that I left empty while away those 6 years and the whole time I have been an Australian resident for tax. I consider those 6 years count in the 35 years, regardless that I basically lived in Thailand. Have I got that wrong?- 1

Wise removes Long Stay Reason on Transfers

Actually I've been on the subject for over 50 years. Basic things don't change. What your body needs is still the same as way back when. Obesity has increased all these years, along with all the overweight people. Things haven't changed much. There aren't any shortcuts to health. Genetics plays a huge role but you can ward off some things if you follow the basics. -
