Roof Foaming?? Pattaya

Anybody with a good recommendation for a company and a guesstimate of cost. Roughly 100 sqm easily accessible roof area, 3 floors up. I am reading from 1 inch to 2 inch thickness and prices from 300- 600 Baht/sqm

Used Lohr, based in Naklua, a few years back for roof cavity foam insulation. They did a very professional job and also returned, with no quibble, for a small re-spray a few weeks later. No problems since.

Can't recall the costs involved but seemed reasonable to me.

Whilst not a recommendation for a company to do the job you might be interested in my experience of having roof foam whilst I lived in View Tallay Villas. 

 

No real difference was noticed inside the property after it was done but the heat build up inside the house was considerable in the evenings leading to very high air con bills. 

The pressure on the inside of the roof when the foam is being sprayed lifted up many tiles leading to multiple leaks.

Thank you kindly. This is great info. I had partial roof foamed previously and had also leak/deterioration problems. Probably will just go for "green" gypsum or SHERA ceiling board.

I also had leak problems and heat build up on a previous house with foam in the roof, present house has reflective metal sheet under the tiles, stops water and keeps the house cool

The foil barrier and "forced" ventilation of the attic space would be a much better option for heat issues.

 

The foam  could maybe help for noise and make it harder to break in through the roof, some say it helps stop leaks  too...I'm not sure how fire retardant it is.
