90 day reporting, quick question

Hello!

 

 I'm on a 1 year marriage extension. This is my first time doing a 90 day reporting after leaving Thailand for a vacation to another country (with a re-entry permit). I returned to Thailand on Feb 22nd.

 

My last 90 day extension slip in my passport says to notify again on April 14th. I was about to go to immigration today to report, when I read online that I need to manually calculate the 90 days from my last entry to Thailand (Feb 22nd), and not the date listed on my previous 90 day extension slip. Is this correct? So my next report would be on May 23rd instead?

 

 I'm also reading that I was supposed to get my condo management to submit a form to immigration when I returned from vacation on Feb 22nd, within 24 hours. Is it too late to do this? What sort of fine am I looking at?

Yes the count started again when you re-entered. If you entered on Feb 22nd your next report is due on May 22nd. The day you enter counts as day1.

The maximum fine is 2,000 baht. Fines of 800, 1,600 and 2,000 have been reported. It will depend on the office.

 

The enforcement of this reporting law varies across the country. If you're in Bangkok, don't worry about it as it's not enforced. Although they might fine you if a report is not made it's really down to the owner/condo management to report. Some offices will accept a report from the foreigner if they are renting or own the property.
