Oh what a night! How to spend 100K in Pattaya in less than 24 hours!

A Thai sorter at a delivery firm stole the company safe on Wednesday evening.

 

He was arrested the next day but more than 100,000 baht was missing.

 

Now the question remains - what would you get for one night in Pattaya for that money!?

 

Whatever he did Chaiya "Yo" Jema is remaining tight lipped.

 

He was pictured in a motorcycle helmet surrounded by Bang Lamung cops after his arrest yesterday with the manageress of Carry Express (Thailand) in the picture looking none too happy.

 

 

CCTV caught "Yo" - a sorter at the firm - arriving at the company at the Susco gas station on Route 36 at nearly 10pm. He got the green 50 cm x 50 cm safe out of an office then tried to open it by driving a fork lift truck into it.

 

That failed so he took it away on his motorcycle with side car.

 

Manageress Sutthisa Sutthiwaree, 23, said there was 288,000 baht in the safe.

 

He was soon arrested at his lodgings but he was in possession of only 181,000 baht stuffed in a bag and a pipe, reported Sophon Cable TV.

 

Yo said in an attempt at mitigation that he disliked the company because they made him work too hard.

 

Sophon made no attempt to explain where the missing money was or how Yo might have spent the loot overnight.

 

The police said that Yo had two drug offences in Pattaya in 2010 and 2011.

 

He has been charged and detained.

I know how a person can spend $130k on one boom boom in the USA.

 

Or how 'bout highly successful Hollywood director James Cameron.  He was married for 18 months to Linda Hamilton ('Sarah Conner' in the Terminator).  Their divorce cost him $50 million.  That's nearly $100,000/day, and doesn't include whatever Cameron spent on getting married and supporting Linda for those 18 months.

The girl on the picture does not look all that happy as she is wondering how much "reward cash" she may need to shell out to the cops ?...but good news, they let her get back and keep the safe for free !!!

A Thai sorter? Looks like his future is sorted for him for the next few years.

You'll can get one semi famous Thai TV star for 100K for upto 24 hours, or you could go for 2-3 FHM or Playboy Thailand centerfolds for the same amount.

If your standards are lower then a few models for 20k each although you won't get them for 24 hours (12 if you are lucky).

Also don't forget in all cases above you'll be paying for dinner in a high end restaurant and lots of expensive drinks before taking them to a nice suite in a 5 star hotel. 

 

Maybe a safe breakers tool kit on buy now pay in 23 hours.

No it wouldn't, anyone can exercise their right to anonymity at these officially banned parades, foreigners included.

You could probably book a whole floor in the Pattaya Hilton for one night for 100k .......  But it seems he preferred part of a floor in the Bangkok Hilton for a longer period instead..

He was likely caught having a smoke on the beach and is too embarrassed to make the second more serious crime public.

 

Police should check their records for the payment of the fine...................
