Hi, Just checking to see if CM immigration still does the residence certificate at Promenade. I have to renew my motorcycle license and don't care to spend the 1300 bht or so from US Embassy. Can it be done in a few hours? Or did it slip back to the old days and next day or week service?

Having lived in Pattaya and owned a motocyc for quite a number of years I've never had to produce a Letter of Residence for renewal of licence. When I originally bought the bike had to produce LoR  but not for renewal. I would inquire at Dept. of Transport before spending my hard earned baht.

I think he is writing about renewing his drivers license not his motorbike registration. A certificate is certainly needed for a drivers license renewal.

I stand corrected Ubon Joe have just reread the topic.

I have just been told that I nerd a residence certificate to buy a condo.

I have a photocopy of a 12 month lease which was used to get my bank account, will that be sufficient (the original is with the bank)?

The photocopy is not witnessed, since the bottom part with the witness section was cut off by the copier.

Please note that I am on tourist exempt visa extension.

Except my passport, do I need any other documents?
