Pattaya police arrest woman for theft from Burmese lady at South Pattaya market

Pattaya station chief Apichai Krobpetch announced the arrest of a 57 year old serial thief for stealing 14,000 baht and a ring from a bag belonging to a lady from Myanmar.

Nan Hla Hla, 29, had reported to the police after losing the money, the ring, her Thai/foreigner ID card and a visa appointment card from the Wat Chai Mongkhol market.

On Wednesday police looking at CCTV in the market saw what they thought was the suspect wandering around the area.

Aphai Charoensinphaisan from Samet, Chonburi was arrested and admitted the theft.

She had a lot of previous offences for theft in places ranging from Aranyapratet to Rayong to Minburi and there was a warrant out for her arrest.

She has been detained and will appear in court on a charge of theft.

Good to see they arrest a Thai for theft from a Burmese lady , in the past that would not always be the case.
