I trust her completely and she has never given me any reason not too. She doesn't drink alcohol and doesn't socialize much other than with her parents or siblings but sometimes after a good rain she and Gran, our 74-year-old neighbor go out at night and hunt frogs in the rice fields. Can't take the country out of a country girl. Probably a good idea not to take the country girl out of the country as well.
MaeJoMTB
Thai culture is the wife stays at home and looks after the house and children. She is not allowed to speak (socially) with any man without her husband present. The Thais in my Moobaan are horrified that I allow my wife to talk to Thai males in the moobaan park, and the other Thai males all slink off if they see me approaching as they don't want the inevitable fight if I were a Thai. Doesn't bother me, just pointing out Thai culture. 1 1

Or your staff who must ask permission? Do you ask your wife for permission before going out for a beer with the boys? Yes, Thailand considers my wife to be my property (nobody cares what I think). Yes, Thailand considers my wife should serve me. No, she is my property, I am not her property. Edited April 30, 2018 by MaeJoMTB

Amazing so many people can move to a different country with a different culture, and fail to understand anything about the local woman they married. Don't believe me, ask any Buddhist monk what a wife's duty is, the answer will be 'To serve her husband'. They won't mention love. 'Sex life impersonal', if you're married more like nonexistent (with your wife). Edited May 1, 2018 by MaeJoMTB 1 1
