I let my wife go out with her girlfreinds quite regularly,i trust her and she is 40,but looks about 30,but i figure she is my wife i don't own her,and i trust her i guess ,but i always have this nagging feeling that one night some young Thai buck might make a move. I have heard stories of Thai ladies around her age indulging in a bit of cougar like activity just wondering what you other guy's think.Do you let them loose with their friends,do you go with them? I was invited last night but though i know and like all the girls i could not stand the thought of 5 or six Thai women getting gradually louder and drunker as the clock ticks around to 1 or 2 am.

and how old are you?  as for the '40 looks 30' I doubt it Thais women age very badly but that aside if there is a 15 year age gap +++  then of course you are the secure option but not the fun option and she could well have fun 'on the side'. What do you expect if you marry someone obviously much, much younger?  I'm not saying this WILL happen just that it could do... few drink... 30 something guy on the 'hunt'.  You will probably never know.  Thais aren't exactly 'ethically guided' now are they.

Trust can be abused. My neighbour said that he let's his Thai lady have a long leash, I replied that the problem with long leashes is that you are never sure if somebody is still on the end of it.

Sure trust can be abused, if that happens ill find a new GF.

My comments were tongue in cheek. If my lady wants to visit friends of family I would never prevent that. However if she wanted to go bar hopping and came home pissed every night, I would draw the line.

If she came home pissed every night id draw the line too it would ruin my sleep. 

 

Within reason I let my GF do as she pleases and I get to do as I please too. Of course we do things together but if I want to go out with friends I can. 

 

I don't like relations where people are joined at the hip, though others might like them. That is than up to them. 

 

I really would not enjoy my life if I would worry about my gf all the time. If someone wants to cheat they will find a way anyway. 

 

 

I gather you don't feel you have ownership  of your partner  as many  people may feel about their partners.

 

In the end game the lady will do as she chooses.  You have no say in that.

 

Just watch out for what you offer  as in what you don't want to lose..

Yes.  They are all married to farangs from various countries, and we all know each other in a loose social network.   The wives go to suki bbq places, noodle/som tam shops, the malls, massage, temples, and often to each others' houses.  

 

They did go to a nightclub once or twice.  My only concern was about their safety should there be a fight, shooting, etc., and getting smashed by a drunk driver coming home at night, either in my wife's car or taxi.

Yes my wife goes out with her friends, now if i am not happy about it, there is bugger all i can do, as i cannot run after her.

A friend/colleague of mine failed "top secret" (or higher) security clearance for a project we were working on in the States .  He went through the process unsuccessfully the first time, and was told there were issues with the "lie detector" phase.  He couldn't figure out what the issue was.  Went the second time, and was informed he was not successful at the deliberation.  He lost his composer and basically  said "what the ***k is going on, what is the issue?" .  They told him he was failing the polygraph (lie detector) test in the "have you ever cheated on your wife" questions.  He laughed and said " how can I be cheating on my wife, if she was there??".......Passed.

 

Moral of the story, let your wife go out and choose your/her (extracurricular female) playmates, how could she be wrong....

My girlfriend claims that at 60% + of the people in the village are seeing other people behind their partners back. I consider it to be true as i have been drinking with quite a few and they have admitted it quite openly.

She likes to make  point of telling me if someone has made a pass at her, if that stops i would be worried

In all seriousness its good she can have a seperate social life it keeps your relationship happy and balanced apart what some posters may say thai women can be extremely loyal.

Doctors orders 2 × viagria and punish her for being a bad bad girl, that should take care of any insecurity on both parties.

 

I don't "let" her do anything. I don't own her. She rarely does, but occasionally says she's meeting a  girl friend and always asks me to come along. I ask if I can bang the friend and if she says no I tell her go alone. 

If she wants she can get where she want to have what she needs.

Let her have her fun and you yours she comes back and spent time with you.

My Thai wife is 52 and she is the envy of many of her friends and our neighbours who are more than ten years younger.

Most Thai women that I have ever known  look a lot younger than their real age.

Most Thai women, especially those who have been divorced after being treated like dirt by their husbands, absolutely hate Thai guys and would never go near them again.  

However, maybe they may be tempted by another falang....depends on how her present falang husband is treating her....

Thai men just don't play the walking ATM machine. Why would a healthy woman not want sex with an attractive Thai guy, instead of a fat and bold farang?

When I first came to Thailand 20 years ago, yes, I've met bar girls and learnt my lessons. It was always the same bs, handsome man, no more Thai men because they hit them, bla bla bla.
